Zuun'dak is a male hobgoblin and the son and only heir of Iron Emperor Tz'Jarr, emperor of the Iron Authority, a hobgoblin empire in southern Tal'Dorei.[3]

History[edit | edit source]

Despite his bloodline and growing up groomed to become a great general, Zuun'dak, who, by 836 PD, was nearly of age, had grown up with great trepidation regarding the brutality of the Iron Authority.[3]

At some point in 836 PD, Zuun'dak was briefly captured by the Orroyen Tribes of the Rifenmist Jungle, an experience through which the heir learned of the gentler world beyond the empire, sparking a desire for escape and reformation. He escaped and fled, disguised, but was caught by an adventuring party that had to decide to either use Zuun'dak as a valuable bargaining tool with the Orroyen or turn him into a rebellious force against his father.[3]
