Description[edit source]

This template is used to create headers and footers on Transcript pages. It links directly to the previous and next transcripts by episode number as well as the same transcript in other languages. You should be able to use it without any parameters and just put {{Transcript-Nav}} at the top and bottom of a transcript page.

Dependencies[edit source]

On pagenames[edit source]

{{ROOTPAGENAME}} does not work when there is a comma or asterisk in the page name.[1] Instead, it must be wrapped in a titleparts template as {{#titleparts: {{ROOTPAGENAME}}|1}}.

Usage[edit source]

For the vast majority of cases, simply placing {{Transcript-Nav}} is sufficient. If you wish to set one or more of the links manually, you can use the following parameters:

  • current: Title of the current episode, i.e. the episode matching the transcript article this template is on. This should lead to an episode article.
  • prev: Title of the previous episode. This should lead to a transcript article but do not include the "Transcript:" prefix. The template automatically adds it.
  • next: Title of the next episode. This should lead to a transcript article but do not include the "Transcript:" prefix. The template automatically adds it.
  • list: Article that the "Transcript" link located in the center of the template leads to.
