Tales from the Stinky Dragon is a Dungeons & Dragons actual play podcast. It is a family friendly comedy series featuring multiple settings. Originally produced by Rooster Teeth, Stinky Dragon became an independently production after Rooster Teeth announced its closure in 2024. The podcast subsequently partnered with Critical Role Productions to release through Beacon.
Production[edit | edit source]
Tales from the Stinky Dragon premiered in 2021 as a Rooster Teeth production.
In March 2024, Rooster Teeth announced that it was shutting down.[1] The following April, Tales from the Stinky Dragon announced that it was continuing as an independent production and launched a Patreon. To reflect the reduction in resources as a result of becoming independent, the podcast moved to releasing every two weeks with Second Wind releasing in the off weeks.[2]
In September 2024, it was announced that Stinky Dragon partnered with Critical Role Productions and will begin broadcasting on Beacon alongside the existing Patreon releases.[3][4] The show remains an independent production.
