The Salted Bluffs are the sheer cliffs on the north face of the Alabaster Sierras that drop into the Frigid Depths.[2]
Description[edit | edit source]
The cliffs of the Salted Bluffs are around three hundred feet high, and are home to a series of seaside caverns. The base of the cliffs are rocky and dangerous to traverse by boat. Outlaws and pirates often use the bluffs to hide away their treasures or use it as their base of operations due to their treacherous nature. Many colonies of harpies also live along the cliffs.
History[edit | edit source]
Vox Machina went to the Salted Bluffs to take part in a ritual performed by Ogden Trickfoot, allegedly to purge a curse from his niece Pike Trickfoot, one of Vox Machina's members. The ritual turned out to be a ruse perpetrated by Ogden to get Pike's money.[3]
During this time, a diamond for the "ritual" was dropped off of the cliff. Keyleth dove off the cliff to retrieve it, Wild Shaping into a goldfish on the way down, and smashed into the rocks at the bottom, dying instantly. Vex'ahlia was able to fly down to Keyleth's body on her broom and use a spell-storing coin of Revivify provided by Tary to resurrect Keyleth, but the diamond was lost.[4]
