Peddy Tuxpin is a panda bear played by Sam Riegel in "Trinket's Honey Heist" (OSx18) and "Honey Heist 2: Electric Beargaloo" (OSx22).

Description[edit | edit source]

Peddy indulged in bamboo and isn't much interested in honey. If doesn't get bamboo, he gets the jitters.[1] Peddy considers himself to be a vegan who is against of unnecessary harming other living creatures.[2]

Biography[edit | edit source]

Background[edit | edit source]

Peddy grew up in the Shattered Teeth, to the south of Wildemount. When he was just a child, his family was hunted by poachers with guns. His father told him to run and Peddy never saw his family ever again.[3]

"Trinket's Honey Heist" (OSx18)[edit | edit source]

While roaming the vicinities of Westruun in 837 PD, Peddy met three other bears (Trinket, Cookie, Waffle) and a honey badger who was designated as an honorable bear (Liam Las Vegas). He joined them as a muscle, planning to rob the city's Hazel Festival vaul full of honey. Approaching the festival stalls showcasing special honey samples and giving them away on bamboo spoons. Peddy noticed these laying discarded on the ground and ate several of them.[4] On their way to the vault the bears encountered a pair of cows (Bonnie & Cow) armed with tommy guns-like sticks. Peddy threw himself down on one of the cow's sticks thinking they were made of bamboo, but couldn't snap it because the stick was magical. He used the stick to hit Bonnie & Cow, not realizing that it can turn into a tree trunk, and accidentally killed both of them with the trunk.[5]

Peddy wasn't keen on stealing the honey, as a panda in favor of veganism trying to convince the group to forget the honey and join him in the joys of bamboo, but Waffle pointed out that they were hungry and bamboo couldn't sate it. When they reached the tavern that held the vaults, the bears decided to ambush the security guard. Peddy activated his magical stick sprouting an oak tree near security building and allowing Vegas to climb it onto the second floor balcony, where he was set to ambush the guard. Peddy surprised the guard by slamming the entrance door into his face, while Vegas leaped on his back, and eventually Peddy knocked the guard out.

The cellar trapdoor leading into the vault was guarded by a goliath, whom Trinket recognized as Grog Strongjaw, fortunately for them, he was passed out drunk in his chair. Peddy thought Grog was a hairless panda.[6] While stealthing past Grog, Peddy noticed a pair of shades perched on Grog's nose and was tempted to steal them. When he did, Grog, drunk and confused, started wrestling with him. Peddy won the bout and made friends with overly emotional Grog mistaking Peddy for a Grand Pooh Bah. Grog then passed out again.[7] Peddy put on the glasses, which allowed him to see through walls into the cellar, discovering several trip wires on their way attached to an alarm system.[8]

The bears successfully entered the vault and started packing up the honey. Suddenly, Peddy noticed with his x-ray glasses two shadowy figures in the room above them and warned the group. Two ninja bears broke through the ceiling and two more appeared in the doorway. Tova shouted, "Oh shit! It's the Bearakuda!" The bears defeated the Bearakudas, but the torches lighting up the interior ignited the explosive honey stored there by Victor. Peddy made it through the door with the rest of the bears, dragging an unconscious body of Trinket into the street and gave him an aggressive snout to snout resuscitation.

"Honey Heist 2: Electric Beargaloo" (OSx22)[edit | edit source]

Seven month later the bears reunited in the perimeters of Whitestone. Peddy Tuxpin joined them as a driver and was noticeably much more distressed suffering from a bamboo withdrawal. Trinke used his repute to lead the party into Castle Whitestone, where they—among other things—fed Peddy bamboo from the de Rolo's garden. They discussed their mission to eliminate Hatori Bongo, assigned to them by Tova, and Peddy said he's heard bad news about the Bongo—he didn't just kill his victims, he declawed them first. First of all, before going after their objective, the bears decided they should disguise themselves with hats. Peddy attached himself to a nearby cart, and picking up Cookie's suggestion, rammed through the front door of the Whitestone's hat store. Peddy gotts a green bowler hat.

On their way to the Hatori Bongo's base at the Fort Lox, the bears stopped at Vinnie the Pooh mansion. Peddy requested a bucket of honey and bamboo sticks from the bartender, then stole their drink cart, inviting the rest of the bears to hop in. They did a job for Vinnie in return for the information on how to enter the Fox Lox—the bears saved Vinnie's smugglers from polar bears by playing their alfa game. Peddy also raised the stakes of the game to include a win condition: if they won, they traded their drink cart with the polar bear's bigger game cart, which they did after the bears won the game.

The entrance to the Fort Lox was guarded by a half-asleep ninja bear. When Trinket's attempt failed at knocking out the guard in a sneaky way, he pulled a piece of bamboo around the ninja's throat, successfully baiting Peddy to bite their throat off. The hallway inside the fort was too small to pull in the cart. Peddy used the wheelbarrows scattered around to make an extra long bike to move around the facility. Proceeding forward the bears rescued Tova's ally named Cody who was a starving yak. Peddy reluctantly gave him the last bamboo sticks, which Kody hungrily ate. In another room of the fort the bears found a storage of firearms and amination. Peddy opened one other crate, finding a unique magical ammo. Peddy recognized it as such by reading the salmon-bamboo glyphs. In fight against Hatori Peddy asked Waffle for the gun and used this magical bullet, killing Hatori Bongo.
