Orna,[fn 1] performing as Orna the Fire Fairy, is a performer at The Fletching and Moondrop Traveling Carnival of Curiosities. As an NPC, she is played by Matthew Mercer.
Description[edit | edit source]
Appearance[edit | edit source]
A woman of short fiery red hair and dark skin, she wore a simple dress of golds and reds on the night of the carnival. During the performance her face remained stoic and graceful.[2]
Personality[edit | edit source]
Orna expressed unhappiness with Gustav's leadership of the carnival.[1]
Biography[edit | edit source]
Before Campaign 2[edit | edit source]
In 833 PD Orna was already a part of The Fletching and Moondrop Traveling Carnival of Curiosities, when Mollymauk Tealeaf joined the troop. She was initially suspicious of Molly and, looking at his red-eyes tattoos, assumed he can be a cultist. Orna was present at Lestera's funeral, weeping.[3]
Campaign 2: The Mighty Nein[edit | edit source]
Orna arrived in Trostenwald alongside the rest of the carnival to put on a show. Orna's performance involved her dancing with fire on an otherwise pitch black stage, as if she was fighting against the darkness.[4] After two members of the audience mysteriously transformed into husk zombies, Orna was captured by the guards along with the rest of the circus performers.
The Mighty Nein later sneaked back into the circus to question the employees, and asked Orna what she knew. She explained that she knew as much as everyone else did. The Knot sisters wondered if it was a hit job, but Orna doubted someone would go that extreme. She believes that Gustav's karma is the cause of the problem, and he should have made sure the guard presence was better. Suddenly, Nott and Jester burst into the room, accusing her of being the culprit, which confused everyone. Orna stated it wasn't her, and she and Molly laughed at the accusation.[5]
Orna shared that the only members of the circus she was uncertain about were Desmond and Kylre, and she was taken aback by the information that Kylre wasn't some kind of lizardfolk but was instead a Nergaliid. [5] When two Crownsguard were turned by Kylre into husk zombies, Orna helped the Mighty Nein move their bodies to the edge of the loch but refused to accompany them in their pursuit of Kylre. She instead stayed with the carnival and explain what happened to anyone that asked. She asked the Nein to figure out what was going on, because the circus was all she had left. She was later arrested.[6]
After the circus disbanded, Orrna, Bo the Breaker and Toya decided to go together and create their own show. Gustav bequeathed to them any equipment they might need to do so.[7]
