Orichalcum
Orichalcum is an extremely rare metal found in Tal'Dorei.
Description[edit | edit source]
Orichalcum's properties are described only as "mysterious", implying it to be magical in nature. Due to its rarity, it is also assumed to be extremely valueable.[1]
Locations[edit | edit source]
The only known place in Exandria where orichalcum is found is deep beneath Tal'Dorei's Daggerbay Mountains. The source of the metal is the remains of an ancient Primordial called the Molten Titan, an elemental behemoth made of liquid metal that was defeated during the Founding.[1]
During the adventure hook A Metal of Memory from Tal'Dorei Campaign Setting Reborn, the veins of orichalcum are discovered and lead to a mining rush and clash between treasure hunters. The mining of the orichalcum also causes a remaining essence of the Molten Titan to reawaken and seek vengeance.[1]

- Orichalcum, also called aurichalcum, is a real world mythical metal originally mentioned in several ancient writings, including the story of Atlantis in the Critias of Plato, and had been considered second only to gold in value.
- Orichalcum ore is also a frequent weaponry material in Nirn, the world of the Elder Scrolls games. In The Elder Scrolls Online: Blackwood one-shots, a longsword was made from orichalcum.[2]
