Moonward: A Midst Roleplaying Story is a four-part roleplaying miniseries set in the cosmos of the Midst podcast.
Premise[edit | edit source]
Set after the events of Midst, Moonward features a group of "unlikely chums" who embark on an unsanctioned expedition in search of the sunken remains of Midst's moon, destroyed in "Moonfall" (Midst 1x19).[1]
Cast[edit | edit source]
- Xen as the Guide Narrator, who leads and structures the narrative and plays all characters who are not one of the four protagonists played by the other cast members. They are also a member of Third Person, the creators of Midst.
- Matt Roen as Dusty Rivers, a foreman of the mica mining operations on Midst's moon.[2] Roen is a member of Third Person.
- Sara Wile as Fiona Rue, a bocular mechanic at Goe's Garag and a member of the suit maintenance team for the mining operations. She is engaged to Tomasi, one of the foremen.[3] After the tearror caused by the moonfall, her left leg was turned into a man named Jacob (played by Xen).[4] Fiona previously appeared in a minor capacity in Midst.[5] Wile is a member of Third Person.
- Marisha Ray as Dr. Vesta Sterling, a Fold scientist and medical doctor.[6] She was also the doctor and safety inspector for the mining operations.[3] She is from The Fold, and unknown to the rest of the group, she and her family are associated with the United Baronies.[7]
- Liam O'Brien as Walden Orlok, pilot of the foldmersible The Slug and the unship the Drag'UNfly.[8] Years before Moonward, a tearror caused him to develop an echolocation-type sense within the Fold. He is secretly working with Baxford Wanion.[9]
Production[edit | edit source]
The series does not use a formal tabletop roleplaying system.[10]
