Jameson is an artist and stable hand living in Whitestone. As an NPC, Jameson is played by Matthew Mercer.
Biography[edit | edit source]
Background[edit | edit source]
Jameson lived on the southwest side of Whitestone where he worked as a stable hand. There he lived through the Briarwoods' occupation of Whitestone and the rebellion to depose them lead by Vox Machina. At some point during that time he took up painting, but was doubtful of his skill.[1]
Campaign 1: Vox Machina[edit | edit source]
During the weeks leading up to Winter's Crest after the rebellion, Scanlan Shorthalt asked around for an artist and was sent to Jameson. There he met the budding artist in the middle of destroying a piece that he was unhappy with. After convincing Jameson of his skill, Scanlan commissioned from him a grand painting, 20 feet wide by 6 feet tall, of himself and Pike Trickfoot on the back of a horse, the wind blowing through his hair, to be hung in the dining hall of Greyskull Keep. Jameson was struck by inspiration and offered to do the painting free of charge, but Scanlan insisted on paying him.[2]
Several weeks later after returning to Whitestone from Purvan Suul's tomb in the Marrowglade Loch, Scanlan and Grog Strongjaw visited Jameson's stable to check on the painting's progress. There he showed them the finished piece, well painted and exquisitely detailed. Scanlan tipped Jameson and promised write a song telling Jameson's praise and send more commissions his way. Jameson then carefully rolled up the painting and gave it to Scanlan.[3]
