Biography

Before The Re-Slayer's Take

Heldwell is a high-ranking member of the Slayer's Take. On numerous occasions, he has denied Timpani Guff membership to the monster hunting guild, telling the firbolg that his theory regarding the return of The Timberblight is nonsense.[1]

The Re-Slayer's Take

Between 837 and 843 PD,[fn 1] after Timpani Guff, his friend Poogs and a group that he gathered fought a marionette ghost puppeting the skeleton of Rimefang, Timpani sent an Animal Messenger to the Slayer's Take, requesting another meeting. Heldwell and Igor met the group outside of Himblewood, where Timpani presented Rimefang's skull as evidence of his theory. Again, Heldwell denied the theory and told the present party that Timpani is a con-artist. The party protested, with Frog and Idrin showing their dents and bruises from the fight. However, Heldwell took this as no further evidence, coldly threatening the party with physical action should they continue pursuing Timpani's line of reasoning. As he and Igor left, Idrin overheard Heldwell whisper to the wereboar not to tell Osysa about this meeting, and to keep it between themselves.[1]
