Exandria Unlimited, abbreviated as ExU, is a series of short campaigns taking place throughout Exandria and its history. These campaigns are run by Dungeon Masters other than Matthew Mercer, the Dungeon Master for Critical Role, and feature players outside of Critical Role's main cast. Exandria Unlimited is canonical to the Critical Role continuity.
The first two installments, the eponymous Exandria Unlimited and Exandria Unlimited: Kymal, follow the Crown Keepers during their adventures in Tal'Dorei in 842 to 843 PD. Exandria Unlimited: Calamity, the third installment, follows the Ring of Brass in the Age of Arcanum as they try, and fail, to prevent The Calamity.

- Exandria Unlimited, set in 842 PD, follows the Crown Keepers across Tal'Dorei as they search for answers to magical mysteries and contend with their new ownership of the Circlet of Barbed Vision, a Vestige of Divergence.
- Exandria Unlimited: Kymal, set in 843 PD, revisits many of the Crown Keepers during a heist on a Kymal casino.
- Exandria Unlimited: Calamity, set during the Age of Arcanum, follows the Ring of Brass while they uncover a corruption under their city Avalir and seek to prevent the inevitable, The Calamity.

Exandria Unlimited was created by Marisha Ray and early development began in early 2021. Marisha said that she wanted to explore Exandria throughout its history and through the eyes of people outside of the main cast in a way that Critical Role could not with its forward linear progression and core cast. She hoped to illustrate that "anybody can create and build within the world of Exandria".[1] The series was also seen as an opportunity to allow Matthew Mercer, the Dungeon Master of Critical Role, the ability to rest from the main campaign and avoid burning out. The decision to break from Campaign 3 to broadcast Exandria Unlimited: Calamity hoped to avoid similar burnout on content in the audience.[1]
A series set during the Age of Arcanum was among the earliest ideas conceived for Exandria Unlimited. Matthew mentioned wanting to see such a series to Brennan, who quickly developed the concept of Calamity, and Marisha had him pitch the concept a month or two later.[2][3]
Like most Critical Role Productions shows after the COVID-19 hiatus, all episodes of Exandria Unlimited are recorded live-to-tape.[4]
