The Crypts of Thomara were the remains of a subterranean vault city called Thomara,[1] built around a precious vein cluster by the xenophobic dwarven Thomara clan in the early years of the Age of Arcanum. It is said that terrible madness fed into the citizens' greed, leading to cannibalism and collapse of the society a thousand years prior to Vecna's ascension.[2]
Scanlan revealed that the city itself was built inside a fallen titan,[3] which Vecna resurrected to carry Thar Amphala to Vasselheim.[4]
