Cary is a human barkeep in Kamordah. As an NPC, Cary is played by Matthew Mercer.

Description[edit | edit source]

Cary is a rather rotund heavy-set figure of a gruff man with strong stubble across his heavy squared jaw. His hair is receding in the back, like a Friar Tuck bald spot where he has a bit of a bowl cut around the sides. He has a series of minor scars and one discolored eye on the right side of his face.[1]

Biography[edit | edit source]

Background[edit | edit source]

Cary grew up in Kamordah[2] and is the owner of the Gemmed Hearth Inn, a seedy inn with three rudimentary sleeping rooms upstairs. It looks like a mud-spattered warehouse built of simple, bland woods. It has five tables and a beautiful, well-polished curved bar.[3]

"Misery Loves Company" (2x93)[edit | edit source]

The Mighty Nein rented rooms at the Gemmed Heart for the night following Beau's confrontation with her family in "Home is Where the Heart Is" (2x92).

Relationships[edit | edit source]

Cary has a brother who runs a livery in Kamordah.[4]

Quotations[edit | edit source]

Cary: “All right, there you are. Here’s your keys. Welcome to the Gemmed Hearth. (to Beau) You look familiar.”
