The Allegiance of Allsight is a Marquesian archeological guild based in the city of Ank'Harel. It mostly focuses on conducting research on the ancient history and uncovering ruins.[4][5] In 836 PD, their main priority has been uncovering the knowledge buried within the ruins of Cael Morrow. The faction follows the ancient scholarly traditions of Cael Morrow,[3] preferring to stay out of politics.[6]

Description[edit | edit source]

The Allegiance oversees two academic institutions in Ank'Harel: Teres Schoolhouse, the largest center of education in the city, and the Crystal Chateau, a prestige school with focus on the arcane education.[3] All pupils of the Chateau are required to join the Allegiance.[7]

The Allegiance of Allsight has a dominant presence in the Sigil District, administrating the district's largest economic centers in the city—Teres Schoolhouse and Crystal Chateau. Many of the faction's members and affiliates are members of the faculties and staffs of these schools. The Maw of the Cael Morrow is located in the midst of the district.[8]

The new members of the Allegiance of Allsight get a badge of the organization, a stylish outfit of the Allegiance, and a free modest lodging in Ank'Harel.[9]

History[edit | edit source]

The original members of the Allegiance of Allsight came to Ank'Harel from across the continent of Marquet to rebuild the ancient academic tradition perfected throughout the centuries by the elves and orcs of Cael Morrow.[7] Around 400 PD, the Allegiance's cult leader helped worshipers of Zehir corrupt various temples of Uk'otoa at Zehir's behest and helped to seal Uk'otoa beneath the Lucidian Ocean.[5]

In late 700s or early 800s PD, the headmasters of the Allegiance sought out J'mon Sa Ord's permission to start the excavations of the ruins of Cael Morrow, buried deep beneath the Sigil District of Ank'Harel.[7] As of 811 PD the work was still ongoing,[10] completing before 836 PD.[11] The Allegiance built a waterproof base within the ruins and uncovered ruidium, intending to keep the discovery secret, but the news soon unsurfaced and attracted attention of the rival factions, including the Consortium of the Vermilion Dream and the Sentinels of Memory.[7][12]

In 836 PD the Allegiance of Allsight stored a marble elephant figurine of wondrous power, a set of Nolzur's Marvelous Pigments, and a wand of wonder in the basement vault of the Emerald Ibis Relic Hall of Ank'Harel.[13]

Adventure hooks[edit | edit source]

Around 836 PD, the Allegiance has been looking for adventurers to complete several tasks for the organization, scattered across Ank'Harel:[14]

  • Retrieve a figurine of wondrous power from the Bone Garden, a shop in the Suncut Bazaar, and deliver it safely to the Crystal Chateau.
  • Search the Life Dome in the River District for a possible secret entrance into Cael Morrow.
  • Help Prolix Yusaf clear his name by finding a spy in the Allegiance of Allsight.
  • Descend into Cael Morrow to capture or kill an unidentified Consortium spy.
  • Enter the Netherdeep and confirm the existence of ruidium.
  • Help the Allegiance control the flow of ruidium by cementing an alliance with Alyxian.

Relationships[edit | edit source]

The Sentinels of Memory feverously believe the sunken city contained terrors kept dormant from the times of the Calamity and it was best to left the city undisturbed. The curator of the Cobalt Soul's library in Ank'Harel has been wary of the Allegiance's fascination with Cael Morrow, but as a fellow academic institution, they got along and collaborated on joined projects.[7][12]
