Alexandra Elise O'Neill is a Lightkeeper for the Circle of the Vassal & the Veil for Candela Obscura in Newfaire. As an NPC, she is played by Matthew Mercer.

Description[edit | edit source]

Alexandra is in her 50s. She has brown skin and wears her hair in gray-streaked locks that are gathered on top of her head and worn down. The upper right of her face has heavy scarring which runs through her eye, which is entirely white and clouded.[1] That eye at times flashes gold in the light, similar to eyeshine in some animals.[2]

When Auggie first met her, Alexandra wore a white shirt with puffed sleeves and a vest. She has tattoos on her arms.[3]

Alexandra smokes.[4]

Personality[edit | edit source]

Alexandra is blunt and honest, and encourages Auggie's skepticism and hesitation to trust her.[5]

Biography[edit | edit source]

After Auggie James was sent from Donald Kinzel's apartment by the Office of Unexplained Phenomena, Alexandra approached him on the street.[6] She warned him not to trust the OUP, expressed sympathy for Donald's death, and invited Auggie to join Candela Obscura.[7] She then met the rest of the Circle of the Vassal & the Veil at the Blue Derby Diner and gave them their assignment to investigate the explosion that had killed Donald.[8]

The circle reported back to her with the contained spirit they had captured at the Foundry. She thanked them and accepted that Auggie was still unsure about the organization, and offered him a bed at a Candela Obscura safe house without rent, regardless of his choice.[9]

After the Circle of the Vassal & the Veil completed their first assignment and enjoed their respite, Alexandra introduced them to their second assignment, "Ravage of the Red Lamp".[10]

Alexandra was distracted managing another circle and wasn't available for the third assignment of the Circle of the Vassal & the Veil. Edmund Hornsby substituted her.[11]
